My Dad and I were walking to the night bazaar and we heard these monks chanting. It sounds so cool in the distance to hear the chanting, and the Buddhist temples are beautiful. There are so many of them here. We were able to stand on a bench and take this photo. I wish I could share the sounds and the bells with you.

Hi Justin, Young men in Thailand often join a monastery for a short amount of time, 2 weeks to a few months, at some point in their lives. Here’s a site for foreigners who would like to join a monastery: http://www.monkforamonth.com/about
Not sure how old you need to be. My friend said that it’s hard work in a monastery, but that sometimes his mom is even tougher, 4 am and its time to scrub the wood floors.
Ha — you should try and live with my Mom and Dad for a month!!!
