I found Jack Sparrow in Thailand, but he didn’t speak English like in the movies. He only spoke Thai and he said ARHHH a lot. But he turned out to be a pretty good pirate. Today we are going to Coconut Island by ship, matey.

So we went to this market, and it was HUGE. They had a whole area with pets and animals. I don’t think the live chickens, rabbits and ducks were for pets, though. They had the cutest little puppies, and cats, and birds, snakes, lizards, and HEDGEHOGS! Little baby hedgehogs are so CUTE. I took this picture for my Auntie Mary because my dad told me she had hedgehogs once. I love you, Auntie Mary!
The spa services in Thailand are really cheap. We pay about $6 for a 1-hour Thai massage. I had a 1-hour foot massage that really tickled. But one of the weirdest things is my Dad dipped his feet into a tank and all these fish ate the dead skin. Sounds fishy? Check out my photo.
Move over Gaterade. I saw this article on the Internet on how athletes that drink coconut juice do even better than when they drink Gaterade. So my Mom and I tried some at the weekend market. It was SOOOOO good! The man in the booth took a machete and boom, he took off the top and there it was. It so, so hot but the guy had these in a cooler on ice, and it felt so good to drink it. It cost about 40 baht (a little over $1). I wish they had these in Steamboat!
For all of you who know me, you know how much I like chicken nuggets. So we were at this market called Chutuchuck (we took this cool sky train, sort of like a monorail). At this giant food court, I looked into this bucket, and this is what I saw. I asked my Mom what it was, and she said “chicken nuggets.” Well, you be the judge. Would you eat this? Maybe KFC could start selling this stuff. What do you think? Any takers?
We made it to Phuket. It is a huge island, the largest in Thailand. We have gone to the beach two days in a row and are even going tomorrow! We rented motorized scooters for 200 baht for 24 hours (about $6 dollars in U.S. money). It definitely beats walking! At the beach, we rode the waves and came crashing down with them. It was so much fun! I got a little sunburned, but not too bad. We went to dinner and then got Thai and foot massages and pedicures. My Dad dipped his feet in a tank that has little fish that eat the dead skin off his feet, especially in the heels. Yikes. That’s pretty much my whole day, so I guess I will see ya guys soon.
Wow, I made it to Bangkok and what a crazy city it is! There are people everywhere and it is HOT. We rode the sky train and then went to Lumpini Park. After that, we rode a river ferry out to the Wat Pho temple to see the reclining Buddha and what a sight!!! Bangkok is actually pretty hot and humid. I wish I always had cold water with me but sadly, it’s nearly impossible to keep water cold here. We went to the night market and I got a tattoo on my arm. I’ll send you a picture later.
Hello everyone! I am in San Francisco and on my way to S.E. Asia! The golden city is great and it is HUGE!!! I have rode on the cable car. It was so much fun! We are in a fancy hotel just east of china town and about a 25 minute walk to Fisherman’s Wharf and 20 minutes from pier 39. Pier 39 has LOTS of shops and restaurants that are so cool and fun to go into. On our way to Fisherman’s Wharf we stopped by an IN AND OUT BURGER and I SWEAR I could here the angels singing when I saw the sign! Fisherman’s wharf was pretty cool but pier 39 you could see Alcatraz and that’s pretty much the only reason I liked pier39 better than Fisherman’s Wharf. Well, I guess that’s all for now so see ya guys later!!! Bye!!!!
